Hi, guys! I am sorry I am not keeping you up to date and I am absent for a longer time. Thus, work, work, work... I am about to reply all the comments and read your posts I think I will start in Monday. Today we have the last hot day this summer, at least the forecast says it was the last day with the temp around 30C. Lovely summer day! Anyhow this is sad summer to me, first summer without my beloved dog. I want to go for a walk with her every morning ... In general it is been good. I have a lot of work, I watch cycling in tv ( Vuelta and Tour de Pologne) and in some sense I have used to to this emptiness.

I know I have to live with  broken heart and I will always miss her. I am not the only one. Claire- Genevieve is doing good. She will post to you soon 🐱🐱🐱. She became a very cheeky cat now. I bought African coffee from Uganda. They say the coffee grows very high on the volcano. I have never been in Africa and my dream is to travel there,  particularly to Ethiopia and maybe to RSA too.

I bought also Japanese dumplings, one packaging with chicken and the second with veggies. Kikoman soy sauce is included. Obviously those are not made in Japan but here in Poland. Taking it proof those are made in Nowy Sącz, a beautiful town in Southern Poland where my Grandma was born. I think this is better and without carbon track. The recipe is traditional Japanese and it turned out to be very yummy, especially with chicken. (I really bought this coffee and dumplings).

This cheeky cat took the bed. I own also African snails. I was posting about it some time ago on my old blog. This is already the third generation!  I received a couple as a present more than ten years ago and I named them Mokka and Speed. ( Alhough they are epicenes so hard to choose a girlish and boyish names). One snail is able to lay about 600 eggs. Yes. And they did. Remember, they are epicenes so not only " mother" lays eggs. They're both mothers and fathers. So this is double number of eggs and they are considered as dangerous in many countries and forbidden. Here in Poland we have too hard winter for them so we can keep them as pets.

They live in a special box with a lid which I ordered for them in a pet shop. This bowl is only for bathing them. They eat radish leaves and yes I crocheted those slippers. ( While watching Tokyo olimpics).

See you soon! Happy new week!

  1. Good to hear from you. I love snails. Amazing little creatures :-D I love dumplings too, they are so tasty :-D And I like a good coffee.

Good to see kitty doing well. I will tell you about my cat now....I have had a terrible and stressful time this week.

She took ill on Tuesday night into Wednesday. I took her to the vet on Wed morning. She had an anal prolapse. They operated on that and fixed her bum. Then told me the found lumps in her bladder. They didn't think she would make it. Then they did more scans and test and found 3 huge stones in her bladder. So she got them removed on Thursday. The vet showed me them, very big a 2 looked like roses. She came home with me that night. The vet said all was okay and her bladder is healthy. Now we know why she had been ill a few months ago with the blood in her pee. She is slowly getting better these last few days. I take her back on Monday for a post operation check. I hope the vet is happy with her.

I need to change her food to a urinary control and she will need regular checkup to make sure they don't form again.

    1. I am so happy she made it all and finally could rest at home with you! I imagine how stresfull time it was! Horror... But it seems the things are taking turn for the better. You are lucky you have a good surgeon, here in Poland they certainly well ok... I dont want to talk bad things about my country so I am speechless. So we know the reason of this bleeding. I know the regular checkup will be needed as it sometimes forms again. But you have a good care for her.

I send lots of love to you and your kitty she needs to recover completely. You are a very good Mom for her. You must be very bothered after it all. I remember how wasted I was after my dog's illness. Hopefully this is the happy end of this problem and she will be ok soon.

  2. Claire looks satisfied and very comfortable sleeping on your bed :-) We just lost our cat a couple days ago...it's so hard to let him go, but at least he is painfree now. Having snails as pet is new to me...the dumplings are looking so good. You too have a wonderful week ahead.

    1. Yes and she even started to attack me while I want to sit there. She was not in the habit of doing it something new I must say. I feel sorry for your loss... This is always very sad and hard to accept we must let them go. But we have not choice and is better to free them from pain. I do hope my two cats Ciocia ( Auntie) and Ernest were greeting your cat at the Heaven's doors and they shared some meals.

Having snails at home is bothering, they want only radish leaves to eat, sometimes oats ( dried) and sepia skeleton. They use coconut powder as a soil I must prepare it with warm water. I don't mind taking care of those snails is my mission from the other side nobody wanted them so I accepted this gift from the vet and the story goes more than 10 years already!

    1. Thank you a lot! Snails are very beautiful and I love to watch them. It started when I was a child. We have a huge variety of dumplings here in Poland because people here adore dumplings. I am a coffee addict person and it must be good African or Indian coffee :-)

  4. Tenho de experimentar esses bolinhos!... Adorei a sugestão!
Beijinhos! Bom fim de semana! Tudo de bom!

    1. I would recommend those dumplings from this particular brand. This is our Polish brand and if you can find it there in Portugal please try it. It is worth the money. I don't like very small dogs to be frank. I mean I like them but I don't want a small dog for myself. They live longer than big ones also because of the spine. Big dog has problems with the spine usually while getting older. I think I will buy rather a bunny in the future :-)

    1. I believe my dog is still with me like a sweet, little ghost. I love her very much and the dog I had before too. So maybe they see me from above. The snails are not dangerous for humans, only for agriculture. They eat a lot and lay a huge amount of eggs so it could be a natural disaster in a short time. That is why they are forbidden in many countries...
