We still had bigger part of the celery and I found a recipe for soup. This is kind of soup that we call " chłodnik" here in Poland. " Chłodnik" means I think " cooler" and it is something like gazpacho that you serve it from the fridge.

The base is chicken stock and you need also celery, leeks ( white parts), potatoes. In the recipe they say to get one cream 22% fat and a few table spoons of heavy cream 36%. This is typical for recipes in Poland that everything is very fat. So I added not 22% cream but 12% instead and it was very creamy and good enough . I added 36% heavy cream too. 

It turned out to be very yummy as cooler, with chopped tomato and fresh chives on top. Then I tried to simmer it to be warm but not cooked of course.

It was even better warm with fried small bread crumbs on top

One day I received this celery from a person who took one part from it and then she did not need more. This is big and you cannot buy just one part/twig, only the whole celery. And I am from those who really suffer much when food is wasted. Obviously I accepted this celery and I baked this gorgeous tart ( very fattening)

So this is not a food blog and I am not presenting the recipe. If you want me to I will in the comment. You firstly prepared typical dough for a savory tart. I baked mine in this casserole lid.

This is my pajama and yes we were eating it in the night and this is unhealty but I sometimes do it

The top is very yummy - organic milk, pecans, celery, gouda cheese and blue cheese Lazur. This is Polish cheese quite good I use it quite often.

 And the next day I prepared also soup from the rest of the celery

Walking together

I do respect doggies and since I adopted Nina I am doing my best for her. I feed her right and simply I do not accept any cruel jokes about her or about her and me. I show her food or how she is strolling to spread love for dogs and to make it stronger. I think any stupid joke or comment that hurt the author is easy to delete. I have decided to post in English because in Poland agressive comments and bullying are very common. So I need some comfort and I want to get some fun from all this blogging. I do not want to sit and think " Should I delete this or not?" This is spring now and we were walking together here in the neighbourhood. Nina does not want to walk for long. She likes to be close to the house or sometimes we go to the shopping mall but it is also close.

We do not know how old is she. The fourth Gotcha Day is coming in July. She deserves the bestest meals and she has it. She has been also on medication for more than two years. I must buy it in Czechia. In Poland only vets are selling it and is easier and cheaper to buy it from Czechia, Germany or many other countries. 
 

The kitchen news #1

I had minced turkey meat in my fridge so I fried these small coutlets/balls and also I prepared cooked meat for my dog in the steamer. ( I have a gorgeous steamer which I bought very cheap during some charity auction for cats). 

I cooked organic basmati rice too.

This is also very simply and yummy salad created by myself. I bought an organic pasta with lowered price. The expiry date is long but I guess people do not like the shape. ( People are often weird when it comes to organic food. I know it well because I was keeping a shop with organic food). This is funny pasta with animal shapes and is dedicated to kiddos. I think it also goes very good with salad.

Winter afternoon in Poznań

 

I have been there in Poznań around two years ago. In general I visit Poznań rarely. I was there for the fourth time in my life. It was a business trip but I had a few hours of free time. I was very happy of that untill rain started to fall. So I had no choice and I spent the time in a random cafe with big tiramisu very tasty and drinking tea.

I can say Poznań is even most beautiful Polish town. Surely you can feel strong Polish vibe combined with some German influences and for me personally this is also something Scandinavian in the air. The problem that makes it all a bit complicated is that people from Poznań do not like us people from Warsaw. (We also have a lot of jokes about Poznań f.ex " How do they in Poznań use to take the shower? They squeeze the bath foam over the head" or " In Poznań dad is talking with his son: Oh, my dear son, you was very good at school, I am so proud of you... So I want to go with you to show you ice-cream. You will look at them and admire all the tastes" etc) They simply envy us that Warsaw is a capital and they are very thrifty. In the Cathedral in Poznań some elements are made from plastic and it looks like marble ( sadly it is not a joke).

I had one auntie from Poznań and she was not thrifty, maybe because she lived almost all her life in Warsaw. But this is something very dull there. Even if I find it beautiful I will never move there.

One -day -trip to Wrocław

 Those images have been taken about two years ago although I was not present here on the blog so I launch it now. Wrocław in general is my city of dreams and many memories from my school years. I had a boyfriend there ( while I was living in Warsaw). So I know Wrocław quite good. ( He was much older than me and from the start I was so-so and skeptical about this relationship but he was in love with me. When I fell in love with him he started to be so-so and skeptical about this relationship. With a little help from one brunette girl also from Wrocław. I was sure she likes me. No trust no one)

Back to the town itself. I was there when I was a shop keeper and I bought this wicker basket that you see in the bag. I needed it  to the shop. This is another story for another post. So Wrocław is full of old German architecture. It was a German town called Breslau to the end of WW  II. The Railway Station is also  old and I am totally in love with this place. I remember when I was dating with this boy ( who was an artist) I fell out with him and I spent all night there on the Station sitting in the cafe and reading Thomas Mann book. Nobody was bothering me. I did not know should I get the train to Warsaw or meet him again. I even do not remember what I did... Wait, I remember, I went to meet him in the morning next day) So this is like it is going with me and Wrocław. I still think about the past
